Our Story

Fundravers began with one unforgettable night.

In 2025, founder Zach was fundraising for the University of Alabama chapter of Doctors Without Borders. A local bar agreed to host a percentage night — and Zach, along with fellow DJ friend Braxton, decided to bring their decks. Their high‑energy house music set lit up the crowd, raising over $1,000 in the first 45 minutes and filling the venue to capacity in 90 minutes. Tuscaloosa had never seen a DJ‑driven fundraiser like it.

That night proved something powerful — music could pack the room and fuel real change. Motivated by that success, Zach and Braxton’s close friends rallied around the idea, working together to turn it into a fully‑fledged nonprofit.

From then on, Bama Fundravers became more than just a side project. After raising $10,000 in a single night for the University of Alabama Honors College, we knew it was time to grow. Today, Fundravers is a registered nonprofit that partners with students, organizations, and communities to raise funds for causes that matter.

Here’s how it works: we collaborate with venues to host high‑energy, music‑driven events. During a set window of the night, the venue graciously donates cover charges, which go directly toward the cause. We never take a profit — every dollar from those covers supports the mission we’re fundraising for.

Whether it’s overseas medical outreach, student athletics, humanitarian relief, or disease research, our events bring people together, fill the dance floor, and turn a night out into a force for good.

Anyone can start a Bama Fundravers event:
If you have a cause you care about, we’ll bring the DJs, production, crowd‑building, and the energy. You just bring your mission, we’ll make it happen.

Since our launch in January 2025, Bama Fundravers has raised over $15,000 and expanded beyond The University of Alabama, partnering with initiatives at Auburn University and Florida State University. From small grassroots efforts to large‑scale campus collaborations, our formula is the same:
